When I am at my cabin, I like to begin my day with a walk through the woods . After a while, I reach the ravine that meanders toward my pond some distance away. In the springtime of the year water has created a new flow-path over and through the deadfallen trees and rich layers of composting leaves. I like the way my mind and senses find peace and kinship with the journey this water is on. I tend to notice the art that nature has made and the lessons to be learned from the tenacity of this water- I find myself looking closer at each rock and leaf interacting with the flow. Here a steady flow- there a more osmotic path under rock and soil. Inevitably the water finds its way to the larger body. I sit by the pond and welcome the reunion.
